The most recent addition to our service offerings is the ability to provide overnight Pulse Oximetry. Pulse Oximetry is a non-invasive method allowing the monitoring of the oxygen in the blood. In a Pulse Oximetry study, a sensor is placed on a thin part of the patient’s body overnight, usually a fingertip or earlobe. Pulse oximetry data is necessary whenever a patient’s oxygenation is unstable. Supplemental oxygen is necessary if the patient is unable to maintain adequate oxygenation at room air.
