What do you like about working for Grace?
The availability of equipment in order to do your job efficiently and with quality.
Describe your most rewarding or satisfying experience since you started working for Grace.
Not any one in particular, but the smiles on the clients face when you come into their homes. And the warm reception.
Why did you choose nursing as a profession?
When I was in second grade I was asked to write a paper on what I wanted to be when I grew up. My paper was on being a nurse. I have always known that is what I would be doing.
What is your perfect day?
A day without major complications.
What do you consider your greatest skill?
I am very good at drawing blood and starting IV’s. However I do not do this very often now.
Before working here, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve had?
I have had several: I started out in the Burn ICU & stayed about 5 years. From there I went to as ER, which had several sub depts. in it, like Occupation Health & Endoscopes, from there to the Cath lab. After that a women’s clinic, where 4500 women were seen per month!
What are your hobbies?
Cooking, going to festivals, and being with my girls.
And finally what is something unique that most people don’t know about you?
I am an artistic person. I am able to decorate cakes. I have painted several pictures, and I’m a very capable handy woman. I do a lot of home repairs.
